DAVID AND THE CITIZENS (with me & alex from 1999-2006, Conny and Magnus jumped ship in 2007) |

| I became a member of David and the Citizens in 1999 when
the band was taking form. A friend played me a hissing tape of songwriter David's music,
recorded only on a lousy 4-track machine and I found his boogie-woogie piano popsongs warped with melancholic acoustic tunes quite interesting. When I was asked to join in on bass I never hesitated. In the first version of
the band there was David, me and Karl-Jonas Winkvist (drums) and Jenny Wilson
(guitar/organ). We did three shows together, including the famous indiefest Emmaboda and
Hultsfred festival in Sweden. A four-song demo was then recorded in Tambourine
Studios. The line up changed that same year due to other musical projects (K-J and Jenny continued with First Floor Power) and I started to
play drums and Conny Fridh, Alexander Madsen and Magnus Bjerkert teamed
up. The Citizens have so far released everything through Adrian Recordings,
run by Magnus, and has earned acknowledgement through press, airplay and
by doing a lot of shows all over. The band toured extensivly throughout Germany, Norway, Denmark Sweden and also England and Baltikum.
